What FLOCK means
FLOCK (noun): A number of birds together in a group, such as those gathered together for the purpose of migration. A large number of animals associated together in a group; commonly used of sheep, but also used for goats or other livestock animals, or sometimes any group of animals. The group of sheep being watched by one shepherd. A large number of people.

How to use these hints
The five hints are ordered from least to most revealing. The first two tell you something about the shape of the word without giving away a single letter. Hint three gives you the first letter, which is usually enough to finish if you already have two or three greens. Hint four gives you the last letter, and hint five is the meaning, which in practice is the answer for most players.
If you are playing on hard mode, remember that every hint you use still has to fit the letters you have already confirmed. Take the first letter hint, check it against your yellows, and you will often see the word before you need anything else. Played already?
